History of Midralis

Four Ages. Four thousand years. One unbroken thread of civilizations building on each other’s ruins — empires rising, catastrophes endured, institutions founded and then slowly becoming something other than what they were built to be.

History in Midralis is not neutral. It is written by institutions, filtered by survivors, and shaped by forces that have never been named in any official record. The broad strokes are accurate. The dates are mostly right. What the official record consistently misses, not through deliberate falsification in most cases, but through the structural blindness of institutions that cannot see what they benefit from not seeing — is the pattern that runs through all four ages and connects events separated by centuries that no mortal institution has fully traced.

What follows is the history a scholar in the current era of the 4th Age could piece together from the Celestrian Observatory’s records, the Ninefold Conservatory’s archives, surviving oral traditions, and the documents the Concordiax has not yet managed to classify.
